Relation–SHIPS

Line and blue dot

A 6-Part Workshop Series on the Psychology of Human Connection

Why Relation-SHIPS?

We are wired for connection. From the moment we are born, relationships shape how we see ourselves, how we feel safe, how we communicate, and how we cope. Whether it’s romantic love, family bonds, friendships, colleagues, or even strangers, relationships form the invisible architecture of our lives.

But relationships aren’t just about people.
They’re about patterns.
They’re about how we relate, not just to others, but to ourselves.

And here’s the truth:

ReltionSHIPS Workshops

The quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life.

Where there is disconnection, misunderstanding, avoidance, or chaos, mental health suffers.

The Relation-SHIPS Series explores the ships we travel in: companionship, partnership, friendship, leadership, mentorship, and kinship. When these ships break down, we drift. When they work, we thrive.

This is not a series about communication tips.
It’s a deep dive into the emotional currents that steer every connection you have.

“Ship Happens”

01

When Relationships Go Off Course

Short Description:
Explore how and why even the strongest relationships break down — and what it means to course correct without self betrayal.

Full Description:
Not all relationships are meant to last — but all relationships are meant to teach.
This session explores what happens when a ship hits a storm: betrayal, drifting apart, breakdowns in trust. You’ll reflect on how you show up in relationships (clingy, distant, over responsible), what patterns you repeat, and what happens when you’re forced to let go.

It’s about truth, grief, boundaries, and the courage to step off a sinking ship.

02

When Safety Is an Illusion

Short Description:
Examine the subtle signs of emotional fear in relationships — and the cost of constantly tiptoeing around someone else’s reactions.

Full Description:
Many people stay in relationships that feel like landmines — always on edge, afraid to speak up, hyperaware of tone and timing.
This session dives into emotional control, codependency, and the anxiety of not feeling emotionally safe.

We’ll explore nervous system responses in relationships, unspoken power dynamics, and how to begin creating safety from the inside out.

“Throwing Someone Under the Bus”

03

Betrayal, Blame and Emotional Abandonment

Short Description:
Betrayal isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s in what’s not said. Learn how subtle betrayals chip away at trust, identity, and connection.

Full Description:
This session explores the painful dynamics of being scapegoated, emotionally abandoned, or blamed to maintain peace. Whether in families, romantic partnerships, or work environments, being thrown under the bus erodes confidence and clarity.

We’ll unpack betrayal trauma, triangulation, and how to spot and stop cycles of blame and emotional avoidance.

“The Silent Treatment”

04

When Disconnection Becomes a Weapon

Short Description:
Silence speaks — and sometimes it screams. This session examines how avoidance, emotional shutdown, and stonewalling destroy connection.

Full Description:
Silence isn’t always golden.
This session tackles the devastating effects of emotional withdrawal — when one partner punishes with absence, shuts down emotionally, or ghosts altogether.

You’ll learn how to recognize freeze and avoidance responses, understand attachment injury, and explore healthier ways to manage conflict or pain without disappearing.

05

Enmeshment, Identity Loss and the Fear of Separation

Short Description:
Not all closeness is connection. This session uncovers the fear based bond of enmeshment and how to separate without losing love.

Full Description:
Some relationships become so entangled that there’s no space to breathe.
Whether it’s parent child enmeshment, romantic overdependence, or friendship fusion, when your identity is tied to someone else’s moods or approval, the relationship becomes a trap.

We’ll explore how to lovingly untangle without abandoning, and how to create interdependence, not codependence.

06

Healing Your Relationship Blueprints

Short Description:
If every relationship feels like déjà vu — same fight, different face — this one’s for you. It’s time to interrupt the pattern.

Full Description:
You don’t just inherit eye color — you inherit relational scripts.
This session unpacks how childhood attachment, family modeling, and early relationship wounds become the blueprints for your adult connections.

We’ll explore how to move from unconscious reenactment to conscious relating, and how to rewrite your love story with more awareness, truth, and choice.
